ABOUT CRISPIN GORDON

I’m Crispin and as you’ve no doubt gathered I am an acupuncturist!

I’ve been practicing acupuncture in London since 2006, having graduated from the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading. Prior to which, I was a Shiatsu practitioner – Shiatsu is a Japanese body therapy that like acupuncture, is founded upon the principles underlying Chinese Medicine.

I FEEL VERY

BLESSED

TO PRACTICE ACUPUNCTURE-IT’S A TRULY WONDERFUL FORM OF MEDICINE THAT HELPS PEOPLE IN SO MANY WAYS

During my career I have worked in a variety of clinical  acupuncture environments and have treated many people with various types of conditions. Shortly after qualifying I began practicing in South London at the NHS’s specialist acupuncture clinic in Lambeth known as ‘The Gateway Clinic’, and from practicing there I learned effective protocols for treating people in pain – be it musculo-skeletal pain, headaches and pain associated with gynaecological conditions.

I have treated extensively in the sphere of HIV care since 2008. I began that journey when I started practicing for the Terence Higgins Trust at ‘The Lighthouse’ in Notting Hill, West London. I then went on to practice at the River House HIV day centre in Hammersmith for over a decade, whilst now I work under the banner of SASH (Support and Advice On Sexual Health) by treating at St. Charles Centre for Health and Wellbeing in North Kensington.

I co-founded the community focused ‘Portobello Affordable Acupuncture’ (PAA) in 2015. This is a low-cost, multi-bed clinic which was set up with the specific aim of offering acupuncture to those who otherwise would not normally be able to afford it. Prior to the outbreak of COVID-19, it operated every Wednesday afternoon out of the Venture Community Centre in North Kensington.

In addition to those ventures, I have consistently treated out of my private practice (now located in the famous Trellick Tower in West London) since qualifying, in 2006. In that time, I have utilised acupuncture to help a wide array of people with many different conditions from those in long-lasting discomfort to those with issues around fertility; and from people affected with digestive conditions, to those in need of support and nurture.

In all I feel very blessed to be practicing acupuncture as it is a truly wonderful form of medicine that helps people in so many ways.

Crispin is an excellent acupuncturist. His professionalism is second to none and has a gentle hand and a calming manner. I have been treated by Crispin for a few weeks, he was very attentive and detailed in collecting my medical history and understood that my problems were both psychological and physical and was able to treat both. I now feel incredibly better.

I am so grateful to have met Crispin. Before seeing Crispin for treatment I had been on a long infertility journey which I’m delighted to say has turned into a positive pregnancy.

Crispin has a calm energy whilst being able to have a laugh and he embodies the qualities I look for in a therapist/practitioner.
